My New Hat

The day we left Switzerland, our flight left at 8 am, so we needed to leave our hotel about 6 am... After a night of no sleep, all three of us were pretty delirious... We get to the airport and realize that we each have about $60 in Swiss Franc's to spend.... Of course, there wasn't a whole lot open in the Zurich airport at 6:30 am, but 1 store. This store was like a convenience store, with a few souvenirs. So we all had to blow the rest of our money in this store.
Roland bought about $60 in Chocolate and Swiss lottery tickets... so we scratched away, and didn't win.....
I bought some postcards, a shot glass, and a NEW HAT!
Here are some pictures of my new hat in action.

Las Vegas is the Devil!!!

So while in Las Vegas for the Mountain West Basketball Tourney, there was a family who was very sad that their New Mexico Lobos lost in the first round.... Mom Montoya decided it was a GREAT idea to dare her two sons Robert and Ryan to eat a fried desert.... Brother Robert was sooooo sad that he figured "How much worse could today get?" so we decided to do it..... Here is what our deserts looked like....

Robert's Fried Twinkie, My Fried Oreos

Little did Mom Montoya know, her sons day could get a lot worse.... At one point, Robert thought his heart stopped..

Moral of the story... DONT EAT FRIED DESERTS!

Funnies While In Switzerland

On a recent trip to Zurich Switzerland, we witnessed a few funny signs that I thought I would share with you all!

This was in a resturaunt we were eating at.... Random...

This was actually a childrens bookstore

Apparently you are not allowed to Saw on the trains in Zurich... Jeeze, so Strict!

I may have been lost in translation, but this was very very funny!

And here is just a picture of two co-workers that I went to Zurich with.

I definitely had an amazing time while I was there... I want to go back to Europe and spend more than 48 hours there!!!!

Start Of My Blogging Life

So, with inspiration from my good friend Amy Bloom, I have decided to create a blog. The purpose of this blog will be to update all of my friends, family, and colleagues about whats going on in my life.

In the fall of 2006 I graduated from the University of New Mexico with a degree in Business, with a focus in Human Resources. I graduated Cum Laude, which means that I had a Cumulative GPA higher than a 3.5. In June of 2007 I moved from Albuquerque, NM to Denver, CO.

Currently, I am working for IBM in their Global Business Services Consulting Practice. I started working on February 5, 2007. With my job, I travel 100% of the time. Currently my project is in Toledo, OH with Dana (Apparently they make auto parts). So every Sunday I fly from Denver, CO to Detroit, MI. In Detroit, I pick up a rental car, and drive 1 hour to Toledo. The work here is tough, but my project team is awesome, which makes it worthwhile!

I have been able to see some amazing places while working with IBM. Since February 2007 I have been to Washington DC, Atlanta GA, New York (Armonk is our corporate headquarters), Nashville TN, Chicago IL, Detroit MI, Cincinnati OH, Toledo OH, Miami FL, Puerto Rico, Turks and Caicos, the Bahamas, St Thomas USVI, San Jose Costa Rica, Santo Domingo Dominican Republic, and Zurich Switzerland.

In November of 2007, I purchased my first home! I bought a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom townhouse in Aurora, CO. I have since enjoyed every minute of being a homeowner, yes, even paying a mortgage every month! Here are a few pictures of my place:

I never imagined that all of my hard work through high school and college would pay off like this. I enjoy every minute of my life, and I thank God everyday for providing me with all of these amazing gifts in life.
